Send Emails

Gatsby Campaigns is how users communicate through email. Campaigns will improve how you organize and send emails! Located within any event, Campaigns is the second last tab at the top, beside RSVP.

To create a new campaign, you must be in an event. Under the Campaigns tab, click New Campaign. You will see it in the center or up top.

This will open the email composer. By default, the composer opens to a ‘new message’.

At the top of the composer is the Campaign Name. This is where users describe a few words about the campaign. Only users see this information.

The Send From defaults to the user. Clicking the drop down allows you to send on behalf of another team member or external collaborator. Clicking the + allows you to add Gmail/Outlook/Sengrid emails for external collaborators.

The Message area is for the subject line, along with an attachment clip and three dots. The three dots allow you to send replies to other team members or to CC or BCC team members.

The user initial “C” is shown as the user being ‘live’ in the composer. This is a nice feature so you can see who is ‘live’, depending on the initials shown here.

The white space is where you begin drafting your message. Users can draft in Basic or Marketing Mode.

Drafts are automatically saved. To discard a draft, click “Discard Draft” as shown.

Perhaps users want to send a test, here you can do that, or click Send to send the message.

Creating a New Campaign

To delete a campaign, you must be in an event. Under the Campaigns tab, click in either the Sent or Drafts folder (depending on where you campaign is).

This will list your campaigns as either sent or in draft format.

To delete a single campaign, click the check box of the campaign and click Discard Draft. To select multiple campaigns, click the top box to select all and Discard Draft.

Deleting a Campaign

Located under New Campaign, the Sent folder stores all messages that have been sent.

See a quick snapshot of the Campaign Name, who is was sent by and when the last send was.

You can filter or sort campaigns or search for them in the search bar.

Clicking on the neon green button below any message will give users a snapshot of who they sent to (on the right) and an image of what was sent (on the left).

The recipients are those who received the message. Beside that, users will also see who did not receive (or are yet to receive) the message.

Again, users can filter, search and sort by this list.

Sent Campaigns

Located under Sent, the Draft folder stores all messages that have not been sent.

See a quick snapshot of the Campaign Name, who is was last edited by and when the last edit was.

Users can filter or sort campaigns or search for them in the search bar.

Clicking on the actual draft message will open it for editing in the email composer, as shown here.

Users can amend/design everything as if they were creating a new campaign.

On the left hand side, users will see the recipients that the draft will go to. To add more, click the + sign.

When the user is satisfied with the draft, click Send.

Draft Campaigns

Perhaps you want to send a follow up messages or resend a message to a recipient(s)?

While in Sent, click to open the Campaign. On the right hand side, select the appropriate recipients and click Resend this Campaign.

Resending Campaigns

Perhaps you have added guests to your event after you sent your Campaign? Don’t worry, Gatsby has a tab called Not Sent To.

Located to the right of Recipients, Not Sent To quickly identifies whom, on your guest list, has not received a specific campaign message.

Simply click the name or names of the recipients and either add to the current campaign or add to a new campaign.
