How do I actually send an invitation? My message does not contain the RSVP link.

In the bottom left of the composer, there's a "+" button. From there, users can click "RSVP LINK" and it will include the correct link for recipients. Alternatively, users can also type "#RsvpLink" as a shortcut in the composer.
